The concept behind most of the recordings on this full-length CD is the combination of guitar drones of varying tones and textures into a series of canon-based arrangements, exploring the dynamics resulting from the interplay of multiple layers of sound, both through composition and pure chance. This is also the first major Undecisive God release using mostly digital recording methods. Originally released in 2003

Polished dark ambient soundscapes from Brisbane retaining a sense of continuity without inoculating the ensuing chaos. Diaspora draws the listener into the dark spaces where ceremonial pain is but a stepping stone to transcendence. Isolating the ritual in the religious and resituating it within a tabula-rasa, the audience is inspired to touch their own spirit, find their own gods, worship their own life as the holiest of sacraments. Lloyd Barrett and Joe Musgrove are the primary creative...

Experimental music is thriving in bedrooms and loungerooms across Australia, whether with computer software, 4-track porta-studios or tape recorders. Yet too often the extraordinary output of these artists is only heard by a small amount of people. This compilation, and Shame File Music, is an attempt to bring this new music out from Behind Closed Doors. Compiled and released in 2000.

Undecisive God's first full length CD release from 2001. After a decade of low key cassette releases pushing the limits of electric guitar noise and drones, this self-titled LP represents the best of that decade of sound exploration.

The Scroungers sound like punk was always supposed to, but rarely did; urgent, raw and dripping with sardonic anger. The fact that the Scroungers (a solo home recording project) grew partially out of Macka's growing dissatisfaction the Melbourne punk scene of the early 1990s is somewhat ironic. Working in relative isolation and never performing live, Macka recorded a large body of work that is arguably the rawest, high-octane, politically and socially incisive punk rock the country has ever...

Home Music: Quiet Day is intended to be listened to whilst performing mudane tasks around the house, whether they be domestic duties or recreational such as reading. Headless is intended to be listened to whilst alone in a dimly lit, warm room, late on a cold night. Whilst both these tracks were recorded in a multitrack environment, the other yracks on this CD were recorded live to PC using a DD6 delay pedal to create live loops and multilayering. Clinton Green - guitar, effects, keyboards....

The Border Protection Policy CD is a frustrated, angry response of extreme noise to Australia's draconian policies against asylum seekers. Australian has had a policy of mandatory detention of all asylum seekers who arrive on our shores since the mid 1990s, including children. There are 91 children in in detention in Australia, and 89 in Nauru (as of November 2003). The vast majority of detainees are Afghan, and most a held in detention (including children) for 6-12 months. Some have been in...

This project was designed as a way of artists collaborating over long distances. Each artist recorded a bed or background for the other artist to record over, with the artist completing the work naming the track and both agreeing on the title of the release. Clinton Green (Undecisive God) and Andrew Kettle (Kettle) have not met when this project was completed in 2000. All correspondence took place by email. Undecisive God was a purely analogue artist at the time, whilst Kettles design is...

The "single" from the forthcoming album by Scott Sinclair and Clinton Green (A.K.A. Undecisive God) featuring the cream of 3 years of guitar improvisations. "Tamas" is one of the most aggressive cuts from the album, whilst the two "b side" non-album tracks on this EP explore more low-key but nonetheless eccentric territories of guitar sound. Watch for the full-length CD "With Doors Open" available soon from Shame File Music. Return the the main Shame File...

A hideous, loathsome tribute to the scribblings of seminal horror writer H.P.Lovecraft. Clinton Green (Undecisive God) and Andrew McIntosh (N.FIOS, Scroungers) construct six ambient/noise pieces that provide soundtracks for Lovecrafts florid, weird fiction. Originally released on CDR in 2002. ---- ON LOVECRAFT Many of Lovecraftâs adherents and admirers have also been apologists for his obvious racial bigotries. They have been quick to point out, for example, that he married a Jewish woman and...

If my memory services me correctly, and I think it does, it was in 1995 when I appeared as a contestant upon television program The Iron Chef. Regrettably, my defeat was to such an extent that it would dishonour my ancestors even more to speak of it here. I vowed from that day that I would never cook again. I managed to obtain the network's master copy of this episode, and in a rage wiped the tape so my shame could never be witnessed again. Or so I thought⦠It has come to my shameful...

1.Scatter - An improvisation with guitar and mixing desk, on the latter manipulating guitar loops and “non-input” signals in real time (June 2005) 2.Insomnia 1 - An improvisation with guitar and prepared vinyl records/turntable. Several records were broken, cut and melted into various shapes and states of disrepair, and layered on top of each other on a turntable. The turntable was set in such a way that that it would basically play by itself, with only minimal adjustments made by me during...
On a winters night in Melbourne, 2009, three long-time practitioners of drone and noise music came together for an evening of exploration of analogue synthiser sound. Lloyd Barrett, Clinton Green (Undecisive God) & Andrew McIntosh (Screwtape) used a variety of analogue synthiser units and plug-ins to form several long improvisations that ranged from deep drones to roaring waves of oscillator noise. The results were edited down into Synthicide, available on CDR or for free download from...

A Year of Silence is a year-long field recording project, adapted from the John Cage piece 4’33”. Every week for one year, at a random time I recorded four minutes and thirty-three seconds onto a mini disc. The sounds recorded are mostly the mundane sounds of home; voices of my family, tea being made, baths being poured. In the first track, all 52 recordings are mixed togther, overlaying these incidental sounds to create sound art out of the mundane. The other tracks feature the recordings...

Lo-fi electronica mixed with field recordings and folk tunes and a subtle hint of bongwater. This airy, atmospheric EP paints a dystopic picture of decrepit and quietly desperate suburban backwaters. The opener "Down in Snowtown" will send a chill down the spine of anyone familiar with that infamous South Australian town. 01 - Down in Snowtown 02 - Song About Drugs 03 - Bong Song 04 - Herbal Medicine 05 - Dreams I've Been in Before Also available on CDR from http://ShameFileMusic.com
